3/4/10: Buddy and Tucker were recently adopted out to a home that had a cat.  They unfortunately do not do well with cats and are therefore headed to a foster home and back up for adoption.  Here is what the home had to say about these boys:

Buddy and Tucker have been in our home for the past week.  They are very sweet, loving, well behaved dogs who get along extremely well with each other and the members of our family.  If you are looking for "low maintenance dogs who are already trained", take a good long look at Buddy and Tucker!

They are very easy to walk on leash.  They do not pull and instinctively follow my lead.  Buddy shows no interest in meeting other dogs that he sees when he's walking.  The smaller and more submissive of the two, he wants to be with his human.  Tucker is more curious and will pull slightly on the leash when he sees other people or dogs.  He, however, is easily corrected and will "leave it" when instructed.  A couple of tugs and "leave its" and he's back to walking with Buddy and me.  They enjoy jogging, too, and have great energy and agility for their ages.  Buddy sometimes will become playful when in jogging mode.  He'll grab the leash with his mouth and play tug-of-war.  A Boxer in play mode is a beautiful thing!

Buddy and Tucker will "sit" and "give paw" for treats, and will "sit" for me while waiting for their meals to be served.  They often eat and drink cheek-to-cheek from the same bowls, even though two sets are provided.  That's how compatible they are!  During meal-times, they will approach the dinner table, yet will go to their cushions when told to do so.  It is obvious they have spent a great deal of time with a family.

Buddy and Tucker only bark when they hear someone on the porch or the outside door handle rattling.  I feel that in a short period of time, they are already looking out for our family.  They seem to know that it's their job to do so.  They do not bark outside, even when other dogs are barking.

I hope you will consider giving these two wonderful boys a forever home.  They deserve it!

2/25/10: Buddy and Tucker are still looking for their forever home.  Whoever adopts these boys will be so happy and wonder why no one else has scooped them up!  Buddy and Tucker were in a foster home for a few weeks and did great.  They lived with a boston terrier and both boys were wonderful with him.  Unfortunately, they are back in a kennel because their foster mom is going for surgery.  These boys so deserve to finally settle into a loving, forever home.

1/2/10: I’m Tucker, the big boy with the blue collar.  The other dog I’m with is Buddy.  We do everything together, nap, eat, drink from the same bowl, run around the back yard, and follow each other around the house.  We even do a “Boxer wrestle” together.  You see we grew up together and we would love to go live with you.  Me and Buddy love car rides and soft pillows and lots of hugs.  You gotta watch Buddy’s tail though, it never stops wiggling. Actually we both are pretty happy boys.  Me and Buddy are just a couple of furry love bugs.  We get along with all sorts of other dogs and kids too.  We really love people especially when we get extra dog cookies.

Won’t you take home these 2 quiet, calm and very happy boys?
