5/16/08: The previous pics you saw
on the website of Rocky were taken before he went to
doggie daycare. He was at doggie daycare for two
weeks before coming to our home as a foster. During
that two weeks while kenneled at doggie daycare, he
lost 10 lbs. as he wouldn't eat for them. Happy
to report though, we haven't had that problem with
Rocky once he came to our home. The most recent
pics of Rocky were taken at our home after he had
dropped those pounds. That's why he looks a little
thin in the most recent pics below. Happy to report
though, he is putting that lost weight back on and
will be at his normal weight in roughly two to three
weeks. Enjoy the new pictures below. Some are of
Rocky and Nikita, our other foster on the website,
playing. Both are absolutely wonderful dogs
who just enjoy life!
5/9/08: We have been fostering
Rocky for almost one week now. He is wonderful. He
listens very well to commands and will sit on a
dime, he "stays", knows" down" and also knows
"paw." Rocky will jump on people when they come in
the house. We have started to correct that by
telling him to "sit." He and our other foster
Nikita play very well together. He isn't food, or
treat aggressive. He is housebroken and likes to
"walk himself" on a leash. He'll grab the leash in
his mouth and walk with it. We will be working with
him on that behavior as well. Rocky is up to date on
his vaccines and has no chronic medical issues such
as allergies or skin problems. He has jumped high
when playing with Nikita, yet hasn't attempted to
jump the fence which is only 4 feet high. He likes
to carry a rope toy. He is fine with both men and
women. He normally falls asleep around 8:30
therefore is an early riser. I hven't had to use my
alarm clock since he's been with us. He is a
wonderful guy and a great playmate for any
dog. Rocky is very good with my small American mix
who weighs only 26 lbs. Rocky just gets along with
everyone. It hasn't been necessary to crate Rocky
as he doesn't touch anything when no one is home and
he has free run of the house. He wiggles his little
tail as soon as you call his name. I will update
his pictures within the next week or two. We are
very impressed with Rocky's demeanor. There is just
one word to describe Rocky "awesome." If you would
like to give Rocky the home he deserves and would
like to treat yourself to an awesome companion,
Rocky is your guy. It costs nothing to meet
him and I guarantee as soon as you do, you'll also
think he is totally awesome. You really should think
twice before passing on this guy, because if you do,
you'll probably be sorry!
